Voter Registration Databases

We provide links to the following voter registration database reports as an information service. We give no endorsement - positive of negative - to any of these reports. The only official ACM or USACM positions regaring voter registration databases can be found in our report, Statewide Databases of Registered Voters from February 2006.

• Report by the Cleveland State University Center for Election Reform on the November 2006 elections in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The first part of the report covers issued with voter registration deletions in the November 2006 elections for this county. Released in January 2007.

• The Database Dilemma: Implementing HAVA's Statewide Voter Registration Database Requirement by Appleseed and Latham and Watkins. This is a best practices guide for voting officials. Released in November 2005.

• Making the List: Database Matching and Verification Processes for Voter Registration by the Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law. Available in PDF Format. Released in March 2006.
