About ACSP

Co-chaired by Peter Neumann and Gene Spafford, the Advisory Committee on Security and Privacy (ACSP) served as the focal point for ACM's interaction with other ACM Committees, U.S. government organizations, the computing community and the U.S. public in providing direction and advice on information assurance and privacy issues. The distinguished group of experts comprising the ACSP provided testimony, interviews, briefings, and statements in these technical areas as requested. The Committee disbanded in 2003.
